To promote the development of China’s medical industry and introduce international medical services, Professor Peng Linji, a famous patriotic entrepreneur, philanthropist, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and chairman of Clifford Group in Hong Kong, China, established Clifford Hospital in Guangdong in 2001. It is the first large-scale comprehensive tertiary hospital in China to pass the international JCI certification, a national clinical trial base (GCP), a teaching hospital for general higher medical education in Guangdong Province, a famous traditional Chinese medicine hospital in Guangdong Province, and a designated medical institution for “Hong Kong and Macao drug and medical device access” in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The hospital has a construction area of nearly 300,000 square meters and is equipped with a large modern outpatient department, inpatient department, emergency center, stroke center and national chest pain center. There are 56 clinical and technical departments in the whole hospital. There are also special Chinese medicine halls, VIP centers, international health management centers, plastic surgery and beauty centers, postpartum rehabilitation centers, etc., providing high-end and personalized medical services for people in need. The hospital can open 3,000 beds. There are about 1,400 sets of international advanced equipment. More than 1,000 professional medical, nursing, pharmaceutical and technical talents at home and abroad are gathered, and more than 200 experts with deputy senior or above titles. Disciplinary leaders with high academic status and strong influence in China have been successively introduced, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the hospital.
